Any one know why a mama bear would be out with her two cubs already?

Wow!


It does seem pretty early.  We had mountain lions cubs down in the foothills a few weeks ago, but they sure don't hibernate like the bears.  Must have been quite a sight!

I don't think I would like to see mountian lion cubs, unless from a very safe place.
